At Renfrew Group International we have all the facilities in one location to successfully take the science from the lab to the market place. In our 4000m2 complex our integrated medical product design and innovation teams have at their disposal development laboratories, testing areas and facilities, in-house tool making and injection moulding and low volume production capabilities. Backed up by scientists, we have advanced skills in specialist medical production engineering and both the creative and design abilities to deliver practical, scalable solutions.

Evidence based
Our design process is centred on testing. Research models, prototypes and simulations with user groups, gathering evidence from a perception study or from multi-centred trials allows us to evaluate complex stakeholder interactions.
Translational design
When it comes to engineering medical devices to deliver chemistries to an end user, our early involvement in technology concepts, often before the science leaves the bench, ensures that production design and a user centred approach is factored in at the optimum stage of development. This combination of disciplines ensures a fast and effective route to market and maximises the overall return on investment.
Risk reduction
Concise and regular reviews involve teams of product designers, scientists, engineers and tooling experts – accessible every day. Close contact with the key testing centres and involvement at pre-critical stages anticipates and minimises commercial risk.

Prototypes for user trials
Interactive product design studies and in-depth collaboration frequently requires multiple pre-production prototypes. Renfrew Group has state of the art facilities to seamlessly provide full R&D support to SMEs, Multinationals, Academic institutions and Public Sector bodies.
Low volume production
We have precision machine tools for mould making to close tolerances and high quality moulding facilities in-house. We also have product assembly facilities for small to medium batch production of drug delivery devices and medical equipment, whilst our large scale assembly areas will accommodate room sized diagnostic machines or laboratory sampling and analysis equipment.
Transfer to production
With Mandarin and Eastern European project managers, and extensive experience in the transfer of production to overseas manufacture, we have comprehensive capabilities for successful and rapid technology commercialisation.
